I'm looking to lop off the part of my kitchen peninsula attached to the wall to create an island. AAV valves ARE allowed by code in my area, and I understand the need for cleanouts not pictured in these sketches. Looking for comments, questions, feedback, tips on the proposed solution below - thanks.

if you add the AAV as you have drawn, there is no need for the vent thru roof.
it will only block up in a year or two.
so just use a long sweep 90 or two 45's below the floor.

Thanks - is there any harm in leaving the roof vent as it may (I can't tell visually) be assisting in the venting of another fixture?

if that is the vent from another fixture then the kitchen shouldn't be tied into it.
but if it has worked for years then you should be OK
