 Water under toilet?
Author: Mr. K. (MN)

I'm curious why this happened with my two toilets. I bought a small wet vac to remove the water from the bowl so I could clean stains off the bottoms of both toilet bowls. I did not shut the water to the toilet off. I sucked the water out of the bowl with the wet vac. Within a couple of minutes, water starts to appear on the floor around the outside base of the toilet. This happened with both toilets. I never have this problem if I shut the water off and sponge the water from the bowl. Why might this happen?

Absolutely no reason as to why this happens. Does the water on the floor appear before the first flush after vacuuming?

Yes, the water on the floor appears before the first flush after vacuuming. And no problem since this happened yesterday.

I suspect the wet vac or it's hose leaked.

That is about the only explanation that makes sense.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think it may have bene the vacuum. I was concerned it might be something worse.
