Golf ball in sewer line, and rebar
Author: Garrett72 (TX)

I completed a house for rent. Dont know when but there is a golf stuck in the sewer line. It is a 4 way. I have tried a vacuum but could not get it close enough. My snake just moves the ball around. There is all rebar or some kind of metal present. I have tried a magnet down the vent pipe from the roof and I cannot get it down far enough. Tried the magnet in toilet drain and not sure it is rebar but it is rusty. Now I believe main focus is to remove the golf ball. If that is done then toilet should flush better, and shower and sink will drain. I am going to try a smaller suction hose to get golf ball. Last resort before tunneling under the house. Would be to cut access hole behind toilet to vent pipe and try from that position.

Not sure I understand everything going on....but have you tried a camera ?

Attaching the shop vac to the camera push rod ?

Attached shop vac to snake and watch with the camera ?

Can you just flush the golf ball down the line into the sewer ?

If you have rebar in your sewer line that sounds like a bigger problem than the gold ball.....
