I have a Delta tub spout that went bad, the diverter on the spout when pulled up is diverting some water up to the shower and the rest coming out of the spout.
I filled out a form on Delta's web site for technical support, included pictures and described the problem.
After a few days I got an email from John at Delta saying this is the "LELAND" collection, and they asked for my shipping address. I sent back my shipping address.
Two days later, I got a reply from Barbara at Delta saying very please to tell you they have a "RP42915SS" on it's way to me as a replacement, so this is great! I looked up RP42915SS and learned that this is the spout for the Leland collection and it matches the one I have except the finish seems to be polished chrome, the "SS" on the tail end of this spout stands for "stainless steel", but what I have is something like brush nickel.
So I wrote back and asked does this SS mean Stainless Steel and if so do you have a brushed nickel because that's what I have, may be you can cancel the other order if it's the incorrect finish?
Two days later I got a reply from Gerry at Delta saying very please to tell you they have a RP42915SS on it's way to me...and all of a sudden I have two pending orders of the spout coming but they are both SS.
I don't want to contact them again for fear they may send me a third one.
Does anyone know if the color I have on the spout is the same as Delta's stainless steel finish?
