Zoeller sump pump float not tripping switch
Author: jf1 (ID)

I have a Zoeller Sump pump model 1052. It seems that as the well fills with water, the float moves from a vertical position to a somewhat horizontal position, and this position doe not trigger the pump. Eventually the water just covers the float.

Nothing is blocking the float from moving. The rubber strap on the bottom of the pump is attached to both the pump and the bottom of the float, but it is long enough to allow the float to move a little horizaotal.

The pump is about 6 months old. The pump was working normally until ablout 2 days ago.

Detach the strap and feel if the float is water logged.

Move the float manually to see if it operates the pump
