 Long bath tub surround. Help!
Author: Candygram for Mongo (WV)

The faucets in one of our bathrooms rad not functioning properly. My husband said it was a good time to replumb and remodel the tub area. Great idea! We removed the existing surround. He mad all the plumbing upgrades. Then we discovered the tub is EXTRA long. So no off the shelf surround will fit as they are only 60”. The tub is 64” exposed or 65 raw. Anyone know of a surround that will fit? Or maybe solid surface panels! I cannot find anything over 60. I prefer not to tile it.

You are probably going to have to use panels. Standard sizes are 48x96 and 48x120 at the big box stores, so plan your seams to minimize the possibility of leakage. If you are replacing the walls, use cement backer boards, not drywall (or "water resistant drywall" which isn't.)

You will probably need to use custom solid surface panels.

are 2 possibilities. I used the former.

Don't use the adhesive in the tubes, buy the bucket, use a lot.
