I have this faucet in two bathrooms and they needed to be replaced.
The handle holes are 4" apart. I have not noticed this kind of faucet before. I know there are 8" widespread faucets, singe hole faucets, and centerset faucets where there is a base where the spout and handles sit.
After some search I learned that these are called 4" mini widespread faucets, but there are not many of them to choose from.
I do not like centerset faucets personally.
If I want to use a single hole faucet than I need to use a 4"+ base plate for it right?
I assume an 8" widespread faucet cannot be used to fit into the 4" space right?

Generally speaking any 4" centerset faucet will replace a mini widespread.
Correct, 8" widespread will not work.
Some of those mini widespreads can be quite a challenge to remove...usually I have to cut them off.
If I remember correctly on the Delta models you remove the spout by insert a allen wrench thru the hole for the pop-up rod (from the top) and turn it. Will not turn because everything is rusted together.....
Good Luck.

Curly, would not some of the 8 in widespreads where the hoses feeding the hot and cold to the spout are flexible, work?

Usually, the handles and trim rings are much larger so there is not enough space for them.

Hi George,
They might....I don't know why anybody would want to. Very hard to clean between end bodies & spout because of limited space. I would also think very tough to install again because of no room for tools.
I never really liked the look of the mini's. They never really caught on.
I believe that generally HJ is correct, trim etc. to large to fit together.
Well what do you know...Delta does make a widespread from 4" to 16"......

Not my cup of tea.

Notice the very slim mounting trims.

I do not see many of these mini widespread faucets. Right now I am thinking may be a single hole lav faucet with a base to cover the two side holes my best bet?
Wasn't planning on replacing these faucets but when I redid all the valves in the sink I noticed the faucet body underneath all corroded badly and so I need to replace three of these faucets.

Just curious the standard centerset lav faucets is the base typically integrated with the levers and spout or can the levers and spout be detached you discard the base to make it a mini widespread faucet?
