Overly Ambitious Homeowner Needs Your Advice!
Author: Luxe Interior (OH)

Hello Everyone,
My wife and I are building an apt. in our home for our elderly parents and got a plumbing quote that we simply cannot afford, so like all overly ambitious, foolhardy DIYers, we got a rotary hammer drill, opened up our floor, and attempted to lay out a functional, sensible plan. I’ve done my best to pictorially describe this plumbing layout, and to accurately identify all relevant components.

I’m hoping that some expert plumbers will 1) take pity on us, and 2) scrutinize these plans and let me know where I’ve proposed something that is sub-optimal, or worse, that might fail. As you can see, I’ve laid all of this out in CAD, so if anyone needs a better view, a different angle, photos of the actual space, etc., I’ll be happy to provide whatever I can to clarify.

My wife and I regularly perform our own home improvements and repairs, which have included some pretty involved carpentry and plumbing and electric, but this is more advanced and with higher stakes. I wish we could afford to use the plumber who quoted the job, but again, it’s just more than we can afford. I really appreciate anyone taking some time to review, so thanks to everyone in advance. Please reach out any time for any questions/clarifications.

Note: This is my first time posting and the odds are pretty good that I've bungled the photo upload—please let me know if I need to provide them using a better method.

This morning I was able to see larger images directly through postimg website, but not now. The thumbnail images here appear on mozilla, but not on chrome ...

The shower and laundry drains need to be vented, they can not be wet vented as drawn.

All vertical to horizontal drain 90*s need to be long turn.

A spigot sanitary tee is available for toilet connection. This will shorten the distance a little.

Can the sink drain go straight down below floor, LT 90* and then 45* into the wye?

I can't see any of your pictures either.

Did you upload the pictures to postimage.org than include the links here? If you are trying to drag and drop your local images to embed in a post that wouldn't work.
