That's the plan. The supplies coming up through the floor aren't connected yet, I'm trying to get all the fixtures roughed in first to minimize time with the water off in the house. Wife is less cranky....

In the third pic from the top, how did you burn the wood on the right side where there isn't any solder joint LOL?

Sum, I switched hands on the torch trying to get a better angle on the valve body, and I should have had my flame guard in place. Sloppy work when you see wood toasted like that, and you are right to call me out on it. If you look at the pic, there are four (4) flame guards on the floor right in front of me....
On the tub, I use a spigot with 1/2 IPS that I can thread into the tub spout, and plug the shower fitting with a 1/2 iron plug. Once the water is on, I open the tub valve to check the supplies for leaks, then open the tub spout spigot to let water into those pipes. Then I can attach a faucet hose with a 1/2" nipple to the shower fitting, and closing the tub spout spigot mimics the diverter and sends water up top. Of course I run the hose into a bucket I'm holding.
So far the opposite side plumbing config looks to be working OK, and with today's lo-flo shower heads I can't imagine that low pressure would be a problem as the Delta rep said.
Back to soldering, I did use my flame guard getting the lav supplies around the corner in the wall. If you recall, this is the wall where the joist bay directly below is boxed for an HVAC return, so going around the corner solved it.
I connected the new bath piping to the mains in the laundry room ceiling below yeaterday....I made up about 100 sweat fittings, and I had one bad elbow that I wound up replacing because it wouldn't seal and one elbow I miess and didn;t sweat at all, so we had some fun turning the water back on...all good now!
