Very true, can't imagine how one would even fix a leak without taking the whole thing apart. How would the plumbing inspector inspect the p-trap which I assume is inside that round thing?

It's like a pedestal sink, you put a tailpiece on the drain and connect to the trap. Did you ask the price? I'll bet it was $5000 minimum.

That's my original question, how do you put a tailpiece on the drain and attach a p-trap if the bottom of the sink is surrounded 360 degrees vertically then horizontally.

Besides, the whole reason for its existence is aesthetics. Seeing a Ptrap under it ruins the look.

It looked from the first pic that there was some sort of fitting on the bottom, I see what you mean now. Hmmm...I also just noticed the "SOLD" tag on it LOL
