I will be replacing my kitchen cabinets soon. And I was going to open the wall and lower the drain line.
Right now I have a 6 1/2" deep sink and the dishwasher hooked to the horizontal section ( will try to post a pic)
We had to do it this way since the wall outlet was a bit high.
But not sure now if I need to do the extra work. Since I learned about a reversible J-bend kit. This looks like it will give me an extra 4" but not sure if that is enough. Since we also wanted to go with a 8" deep sink.
So would first like to know if the reversible P-trap / J-bend kit causes any problems. And if I have to. Is the dishwasher connection ok being horizontal

There is spare pipe below the T and above the trap. I don't see the drain height at the wall being a problem.

Tried. Was not quite enough room to add one there. But also the new sink will be deeper by 2 more inches.
