I have a Hansgrohe Axor Carlton "14880" kitchen faucet and the aerator is filled with deposits and debris so the flow is restricted. I see a big difference in the flow with the aerator removed vs aerator on.
Soaking the entire aerator in vinegar for 24 hours did help much.
The aerator is such the metal sleeve and the interior plastic aerator parts cannot be separated. I already inquired with Hansgrohe and they confirmed it, no you can't take apart the metal sleeve that threads onto the spout and the replacement aerator is one piece with the sleeve and the aerator as a single piece. So the replacement aerator is $40 plus shipping. Not only that, they no longer have the metal sleeve in the finish of my faucet that was brushed silver only in polish chrome. So if I want to replace the aerator I need to order a new one for $40+shipping and it will not match my faucet finish anyway.
On principle I refuse to order a replacement, who would design an aerator that does not separate from the housing and had to be ordered as a single piece with a 10-28 business working day delivery time frame?
I noticed the correct part description is "Hansgrohe 96653000 aerator M22 x 1 (15 l / min) chrome" now my faucet spout is male threaded, the aerator is female threaded, is the "M22X1" a metric thread standard? Does it mean if I can find ANY female threaded M22X1 aerator I can make it work?

Sum, I read that 55/64x27 is functionally the same as M22x1. I searched for M22x1 aerator and found some that are "silver tone"(and some are made of ABS...).

steve, good to know, thanks!
I saw quite a few 55/64 ones online and assumed they won't work. I did order a M22X1 to try. Turned out many of these aerators come with several adapters to go from male to female, female to male, or are threaded on the inside as well as outside to mate to one size male and another size female. I ordered a M22X1 and skipped over a bunch of 55/64 sized ones before I read your message though.
