My Woodford water hydrant pressure has been diminishing over the last year and a half. When I took out the plunger and the head and turned the water on at the house to the hydrant, water mostly dribbled over the top of the standpipe instead of bursting out. I still ordered a new plunger as the old one looked a little worn hoping that would fix it but when I put it all back together, at first the water came out with fairly good pressure and then died down to very low pressure within about 10 seconds. I recently had work done near the standpipe location and I noticed the bobcat driver moved the concrete that is around the standpipe a bit accidentally. Not sure if that could have caused a leak? Any thoughts? my next thought is to put a camera down there and see what it looks like.

i would get a cheap hose Y splitter like this . [www.acehardware.com].
then put a hose end gauge on to read the pressure. like this.. [www.acehardware.com]
then turn on the open side of the Y to see what the pressure does.
a kink or some debris will cause the problem you describe.
