Irrigation system on a 1/2” supply line from house
Author: SuzyQ (FL)

Hello, we recently purchased a house in South Florida and have started redoing the landscaping in the back yard. The only water supply in the back is a 1/2”, threaded copper pipe coming out of the wall of the house. The main goes into the front of the house. It would be difficult and ugly to have the irrigation system installed where the main comes into the house. Also, we have an HOA that may object. Is it possible/advisable to install an automated drip system using the 1/2” copper pipe as the supply? Our yard is small. We will be irrigating potted plants, 3 trees and some groundcover.

No problem with a drip system.

Thank you for your advice. It is good to have the right info before getting all excited and planning using bad info or assumptions.
