 Connecting a new indexing valve
Author: BoredatHome (SC)

The current irrigation indexing valve is a 1.25" inlet x 6 zone 1" outlet.

The new indexing valve comes in either a 1" inlet x 1" outlets OR a 1.25" inlet x 1.25" outlets.

Should I keep the 1.25" inlet and some how make the 6 different zone pipes fit the 1.25" outlets?

If so how? OR should I use the indexing valve that fits the 1" zone pipes and use a reducer to make the 1.25" water supply pipe fit the 1" inlet on the new indexing valve?

I was thinking it's probably best to not reduce the 1.25" water supply line down to 1" even though this looks like the easiest way to install a new indexing valve.

Any help and advice is greatly appreciated..

since only 1 zone will be 'running' at a time simply reduce the inlet to 1"
