Hello,
I am a mildly experienced amateur and quite confused about my faucet’s problem. I have a two handle faucet with a hot and cold water intake. When I run the water it now pours out of the third hole that the rod for the stopper runs through. I assume this means something inside the faucet has cracked? Or did one of my family members remove something that sealed the home the stopper rod ran through?
Pictures and video below to demonstrate.
I will post images and video as Dropbox links.

way back when the government banned lead in faucets, the faucet companies were scrambling for ways to comply with the regulations.
one thing the have done is to use copper tubing inside the spout passage way so the water does not contact the metal in the spout.
i suspect your faucet has developed a problem with that copper tubing.
the good news it that it should be an easy job to replace that faucet.
