No "Home" Position for Rohl Shower Handle
Author: reberhardt (IL)

I recently had the following Rohl products installed in my bathroom: (1) Mantova 4" 8-Jet Adjustable Showerhead (SKU: WI0123PN), (2) Single-Function Handshower/Hose/Bar/Outlet Set (SKU: 1301EPN), (3) Thermostatic Pressure Balance 2-Way Valve Rough (Sku R23) and (4) Arcana Thermostatic and Pressure Balance Trim with 2 Functions (SKU: TAC44W1LMPN).

My issue is as follows: when the trim handle is in the configuration where the water supply is supposed to be off, it causes dripping. There is no “home” position where once you hit it, you know that the water is completely off. It is impossible to align the handle just right - not too far to the right or too far to the left - so that the water to the showerhead and the handle stays off.

I reached out to Rohl. They said there must have been a defect in the cartridge service stop (a small piece of plastic piece that goes at the at the tip of the cartridge). We received and installed the new cartridge, but it did not solve the issue.

Has anyone ever had this issue? Is there a fix? Alternatively, are there other Rohl or P&R trims that have a home position.

Thank you!

Have the licensed bonded insured installer you paid come and fix the faulty installation.
