 CPVC to PEX adapter
Author: brewerjim (NV)

I recently took over a brewery that used Schedule 80 CPVC for a glycol loop. There are 3/4" female thread CPVC ball valves that I need to connect to 3/4" PEX. I don't think I want to screw a brass 3/4" threaded adapter directly into the CPVC valve but I can't seem to find an adapter that is 3/4" CPVC male thread to 3/4" female or male brass thread or 3/4" PEX.

Any suggestions?

'short' CPVC s/80 NPT nipple threaded into valve

female NPT X PEX adapter

done and serviceable

I could do that but I would like to find an adapter that was Schedule 80 CPVC FPT to brass PEX so I wouldn't have to screw the brass threads onto the CPVC threads.

I assumed that there was such an adapter but, if there is, I can't find it.

You can use the schedule 80 CPVC nipple that will screw into the valve and then cut the other threaded end off and glue on a Pex adapter.

He has CPVC valves with FNPT ports and wants to transition from existing valves to pex piping.

so, i was mostly correct..

depending on how many he wants, i think it would be easier and not too much money to just use new valves.
