Yesterday we got up and found the main valve at street level was spraying water everywhere and we replaced this valve. While the water was off, I also replaced the kitchen sink Hot Water shut off valve, which had been leaking. Turned everything back on and get great water from cold taps - better pressure than we had previously. The Hot taps (bathroom and closest to water heater) run for a few seconds then trickle out. The Kitchen hot tap - nothing at all no matter which way the shut off is positioned.
Now for transparency, I will add that this is an older mobile home we purchased and are slowly renovating. What water pipes I have seen, seem to be PEX (think that is correct term).
Before I call in a plumber (really cannot afford as to add salt tot eh wound, was laid off just before Xmas), and suggestions and thoughts?

When you changed the hot angle stop, did you close the supply valve at the water heater? If yes, did you turn it back on, or maybe that valve is bad(broken gate valve)?

No to closing supply at heater, but after back flushing and leaving tap open for over an hour all taps now have constant supply of hot water, so I suspect air in the lines was the issue.
Thank you for your response
