 New in wall toilet install
Author: SandGiggles (CA)

Hey, it’s my first time posting, as well as my first time installing an in wall toilet. This is going into a garage ADU conversion and existing toilet is getting pulled and replaced with a shower. I framed the new location for the toilet and I’m now trying to connect to the existing sewer line. There will be sink next to the toilet and I want to share the same drain. The existing vent stack is more than 6 feet away. Are there any exceptions I could make to my line and be code compliant?
If not, I need to vent both the toilet and the sink correct? I was thinking of dropping a 2 inch line as a wet vent and have that drop into the top of the toilet line. At the sink, I would extend a 1 1/2” pipe up as a dry vent, where I. The attic it connects back to an existing vent stack and out to ambient. Any thoughts on this approach? I’d load photos but have them on my phone, how to upload.
This is also my first time going under a slab so before I break concrete, I wanted to ask for opinions. Thanks in advance for reading this far.

For photos, does

you can vent the toilet 2 inch and use the toilet vent to drain the lav into. classic wet vent. the 2inch vent must stay full size.

the 2" vent must 'go through the roof' OR tie into existing vent(ing) of sufficient size above the highest fixture in the building
