Would you please calculate if there's a possibility my water usage could've gone from 1 (or 1,000 gallons) to 79 (or 79,000 gallons) under the following conditions:

1) I live alone in a single-family home.
2) My usage has been the same for 10 years other than the above jump.
3) I don't own a pool.
4) I've never watered my yard.
5) There's no leaks, inside or out, confirmed by the water company.

If there is no leak anywhere after the meter verified by the water company they must accept that the meter is faulty, replace the meter and reduce the charge

It is 'possible' that you have a defective toilet fill valve (inside the tank), water softener, reverse osmosis filter, or other 'device' which is actually wasting that much water.
