PVC pipe going into irrigation valve popped off
Author: SkiToUranus (CA)

At about 630 this morning heard water in my backyard and came out to this thing gushing. Turned off the main. Took a look and saw that this PVC pipe came out where it leads into the valve. Is this something I can fix myself?

that appears to be some kind of push and lock fitting. the seal is made by an "O" ring and the lock is some kind os stainless washer.
if nothing is broken then it should just slide back together and lock.

i would tie a piece of copper wire from where it comes out of the house to over the other side of the blue valve to keep it from happening again.

look here for what you have. [www.google.com]

Perhaps there is an alignment problem and the kink cannot be compensated. Need to correct alignment issue?

thanks steve... i didn't see that..

those valves are made and readily available.

best bet is to remove it, take it along for sizing and replace it.
