Thinking of adding a whirsbo 1-1/4" x 1/2" x 1-1/4" tee to a 1-1/4" vertical hot water line, so I can eventually connect the 1/2" end to the outgoing 1/2" copper pipe (will use a wirsbo /sweat adapter).
I am just wondering if it is legal to add a tee to a vertial hot water line, or if it will result in a code violation?
Please advise and let me know if I am allowed to do that!! I don't recall ever seeing my plumber do this, so I am curious!
Thanks!

that should be: 1-1/4 x 1-1/4 x 1/2 or simply 1-1/4 x 1/2
tees are 'called': run-run-bull
