I have an issue with my toilet fill valve and, I'm in the middle of repairs. The toilet was spraying from the bottom of the fill tank at the connection line, so I turned the main off to the entire house. I disconnected the toilet. The pipe coming out of the wall where I disconnected the toilet is still leaking water. I have drained about 3 gallons in an 8-hour period. I've read it could be a faulty valve/shut off at the main. The strange thing is, I have all the faucets in the house open and nothing else is dripping, I'm not sure if it is important, but the main valve by the water meter is a gate valve, not a ball valve. It might be important to note that the water is dripping from the area that I disconnected the toilet supply line from, located on top of the pipe.

water will drip out of the lowest point
chances are it is the main gate valve. BUT under no circumstances turn it harder. gate valves are notorious for sticking shut and not being able to be opened.
if the toilet valve is a 3/8 compression outlet, you can get a cap and washer to screw over the outlet so the water can be turned back on until you figure out what you want to do next.

I almost always replace Gate Valves because of the reasons mentioned. Replace with a Ball Valve for best results.

Sounds like your having trouble with the connection between the toilet fill valve and the toilet supply line

But you may need a new toilet supply valve, toilet flex line or fill valve
