Underground natural gas line for whole-house generator
Author: UpNorthJim (MI)

I need to run a 1” natural gas line +/- 30’ between house-side of gas meter and a whole-house generator. Plan drop tap pipe vertically 18” into the ground for the run. The pipe will need to pass under a yet to be poured 3’x3’ slab of concrete in front of garage’s side door. I thought I’d lay two 3” PVC pipes (one for gas line and one for electrical line) 18” in the ground before I pour the concrete. Will this be OK?

one inch will be fine for that.
