I'm in charge of a 138 room apt. complex. We have Moens. We are experiencing no or warm hot water in showers and sinks. I suspected crossover from them as the cause so we have replaced 40% of them with Posi-temps. No change.
Some units are fine and some I have to throttle back and forth to get results.
Also we run off of hydronics and the boilers supply both hydronic heating and unit hot water from the very same supply. That in itself is strange but heaters are fine and there are key locations in the building that are almost instant heat,...for example laundry rooms very hot but a unit next door can't draw hot water. I am wondering if I should go 100% posi-temp before pulling my hair out.

By the time you get to 100% some of the 'older' posis may fail - back to square one.
