We have had this faucet for a couple of years. It’s been working great, until about a week ago.
We are not even in the kitchen (no animals) and in a completely different part of the home.
Then all of a sudden the water turns on and runs until we turn it off.
I’ve only had to change the batteries twice in two years with no other problems.
What is going on? Does anyone have any answers?
Thanks

Try changing the batteries and see if that fixes the problem. If it does, then the issue is most likely with the wiring or broken sensor. Make sure that the sensor is pointed away from the sunlight or other light source that could trigger the faucet. Also, check the faucet's manual to see if there are any instructions for troubleshooting this type of issue. If you don't find any information, contact Kohler customer service.

My Delta faucet does the same thing in responded to battery changes, check around the base of the faucet where the faucet is connected to the countertop and underneath to make sure there are not shorts or areas where current could pass such as a wet area or a wire loose underneath the sink. This is a common problem and text to control faucets
