Hi, I am a newbie. I have questions about how to remove a Stripped Allen Screw from faucet? What is the easy way?

There is no easy way.

Drill it out and retap or cut off the part and replace.


You can TRY soaking the part with Liquid Wrench overnight a few times followed by epoxying in the allen key.


After you waste your time, see the above.

if it is already stripped then drilling it out is the only option.

you may have to replace the handle because if the screw is too stubborn then destroying the handle is the only option. new handles should be available from the manufacturer.

very difficult close to impossible.

If the stripped screw is up facing and in something sturdy and solid sometimes you can tap a slightly larger torx bit into it with a hammer then may get lucky.

But with it down facing and lack of leverage and you can't brute force anything, I don't believe this is likely to work. Try a screw extractor to see if that doesn't work, cut and replace.
