Hi there,

I'm looking to replace a push drain stopper. I've been able to remove the top cap, but I cannot pull out or unscrew the black spindle as you will see in the below two pictures:

Does any one have a recommendation on how to safely remove this black spindle?

Also does anyone know what brand or product this is so I can find a replacement?

There is a silver snap ring at the top of the black plastic barrel that probably retains the barrel and pop-up mechanism to the spindle. I would remove the snap ring and then remove everything off the spindle. The spindle should just screw into the cross bars of the drain flange and removal of the pop-up mechanism shouldn't be required.

The most common stopper in Canada is by OS&B, called a clicker. Therre is a small (1/4C thread in the crosshairs) and a large one (5/16C thread)

That post should unscrew easily if you grab it with pliers. I have never had them seize in place.
