Hi I have a one piece American standard toilet (tank and bowl are all one piece). The water level in the tank keeps seeping water into the bowl after the fill (can see a tiny stream of water going into the bowl after fill). I tried changing the whole flush valve assembly thinking maybe it was leaking from the seal at the bottom, but it still does it. And Because the water level in the tank drops the water turns on to refill it every half hour or so. Where else can it be leaking? Any suggestions what to try next.

OMG thank you. I think this syphoning of the fill hose was exactly the problem (and so difficult to figure out). I had seen something about the tube before seeing this video and I cut it shorter but what I didn't do was to get it *above* the water line. Now I'm going to get a clip like shown and that fixes it. Wish I would have known this before buying and replacing all the expensive valves. Thank you.

Like the doctor who had the same problem. I asked him if he had a pair of scissors. I cut off the end of the refill tube and then gave him the bill for $125.00.
