What is the difference between black iron fittings and black iron furniture fittings? Its says on the bag not for plumbing use but they look the same.

Show us a picture, because "furniture fittings"are usually "unbanded/unbeaded" so they are more comfortable.

apparently there is no difference except 'advertising'

100% pressure tested
Rated at maximum 300 psi at 150°F or 150 psi at 300°F
Not for use with potable drinking water
UL and FM listed
Use for above ground gas, LP and air applications

Always check your local plumbing and gas codes before starting any piping projects
Not for use in underground applications

Why is one tapping non banded? I dont think you can use non banded black iron fittings for gas.????
