1 1/2 inch galvanized nipple is stuck at well pump. 20 min of torch aimed on female end (elbow) and still nothing. Have a 24” pipe wrench.

I have been successful cutting the nipple at threads then using the tiny Tim mini hacksaw to cut and pry out the threads from the fitting, or lots of wd40 and an hour or 2 wait time then try to unscrew

? should i bother trying to describe how to use a sawz-all followed by a 'cape chisel' after 'notching' the internal threads ?
for the OP:
cut the 1-1/2 flush with the fitting face
insert the sawz-all blade into the fitting and cut (notch) the remaining threads of the pipe juuuussssst short of cutting the threads of the fitting itself
be patient and LOOK often
use the chisel to 'fold in' the pipe starting near the 'slice' you made
once it BEGINS to fold the 'grip' is lost and it WILL unscew by hand with a pair of pliers
about 15 minutes total

I've used that process also, but it depends on where the fitting is...if it's in a trench or hole in the ground that's gonna be tough. I would be inclined to add a pipe on the handle of the 24" wrench and try to muscle it off, and save the cut/fold as a last resort.
