 Bump in Bathtub's Floor
Author: Maturino96 (MO)

I noticed that my bathtub has a rather large bump in the middle of it's floor. It's not soft or squishy it's still hard, but I don't know what it could possibly be from. If you run your hand over it feels like a little hill almost. Any ideas on what this could possibly be?

? new house ?

? replacement tub (rehab) ?

it 'could' be settlement around improperly installed mortar - think a 'hill' UNDER the tub

or

it 'could' be settlement of the flooring with inadequate mortar backing

or

it 'could' be a defective tub

? is it something new or something merely newly noticed ?
