Natural gas delivery pressure needed (Kohler Generator)
Author: uptonruler (TX)

I'm preparing to install a Kohler model 20 RCA generator. One of the questions I need for the gas company is what should the delivery pressure needed? 4oz or 2psi. Thank you for your input.

things seem a little backwards here.

up here we notify the gas company of the size of the generator and they go over their computer specs as to what size main you have, what size meter , what size the miain is under the streeet and available pressure.

from all this they then give you the go-a head or tell you that modifications need to be made.

You ask the MANUFACTURER what their requirements are, and then the utility supplies the proper pressure. ALSO, your gas piping may dictate a different pressure, then using a regulator at the generator to give the proper final pressure.
