I installed a bidet for my wife on our master bath toilet two years ago. The installation required an interface valve (company-provided) to be installed in the feeder line between the wall valve and the toilet tank input. It worked fine until a few months ago. I noticed a small puddle water on the floor under the tank. I isolated the source of the leak to the connection point where the water line to the bidet is attached to the interface valve toilet tank feed line. It was hard to do because the leak is intermittent…it didn’t leak every time the toilet was flushed or when the bidet was used. I applied plumber’s tape to the joint and the leak seemed to cease. However, last week the leak recurred (while we were out of town, of course). Fortunately, I’d left a bowl under the tank “just-in-case.” This recent leak is the first in several months and has occurred twice in the last four weeks. Do you have any idea what may be causing this problem? I’ve never had an intermittent leak problem between the supply valve and the toilet tank. It seems to me that if something leaks, it should do it all the time, not just irregularly.

It's possible that you have fluctuation in pressure that could cause a small leak or the connections may not be tight enough. Be careful not to over tighten as that could cause a leak also. Start by tightening just a little bit then check to see if that fixed the leak.
