So my friend's toilet always fills up with hot water. She keeps the shower water on continually but just turns the water off at the shower itself so there's constantly water going to the shower but the showers turned off. Could that be a reason why the toilet is filling with hot water because there's hot water in the lines already going to the shower?

But then she would not need the valve at the shower head, which she should not have, anyway.
