Recommendations to get the faucet unstuck?
Author: ericsarratt (NC)

The hot on this faucet is seized. The faucet is installed upside down, thus the hot is on the right.

I suspect the faucet is at least 30 years old. It has not been used in years.

I tried to turn the hot in both directions, but it won't budge. It then started to drip a little.

The only access is to cut out the shower wall or to cut out the outer wall of the house.

Any ways to unseize the faucet? Suggestions? Thank you for your help.

Impact Wrench will back the stems out.

Thank you for your help. The mauling of the valves was not me. It was that way when I got the job.

you need a 6 sided DEEP impact socket (tap it on if necessary) and an impact driver

OR

an 18" pipe wrench with a good solid 'bite' AND the replacement stem(s) on hand
