Washer tub drain rusted

The drain hose of my Maytag washer separated from the tub outlet and caused quite a mess. The outlet is rusted - as evidenced in the picture but there is still a solid piece that appears to where the clamp was. So perhaps, after 30+ years, the hose just slipped off and I can simply reattach - but I am looking for advice as to whether that is the best, or even a good plan.

If anyone has ideas on how to best reattach the hose, I would appreciate it.
