Stacking tub shoe washer

Hi all,. I am trying to replace the tub drain. When I removed the drain, I noticed that there appeared to be two gaskets between the bottom of the tub and the shoe. One I can remove easily but the other one (assuming that is indeed a gasket) seems to be glued to the shoe. The one I've removed seems intact. Can I just reuse that and install the new drain or should i also remove the attached gasket and replace both with a thicker gasket. I am not a plumber and really don't want to open up the ceiling and mess with my pipings. What are my options here? Please help!

Author: bsipps (PA) The waste and overflow assembly will come with all you need to install properly 1 gasket for the overflow 1 gasket and friction ring washer for the shoe and the trim only 1 rubber washer is required on the shoe there are many videos out there to watch the installation

Author: packy (MA) with your finger, swipe some 100% silicone caulk on top of the shoe flange and another swipe on top of the rubber gasket. also put a generous beed under the tub flange. don't worry, none of this will get into the drain passage..
