Mom’s Homart Commode
Author: Popeye Garcia (CA) Hello, Handle and trip lever for mom’s Homart commode, circa 1959 has busted. That company is long out of business, but I’d like to avoid replacing the damn thing, since it’s already survived this long. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Author: LI Guy (IN) Not sure about Homart but on some flush handles the keeper nut that holds the handle onto the tank has left-hand threads. If you overtighten you can can crack the tank, so just an FYI, if it feels stuck, try going the other way with it. - - - - - - - Not a plumber by trade but a fierce DIYer

Author: hj (AZ) Most Sears toilets were made by Universal-Rundle and may have had the "tilt flush valve". Need a photo.
