 Shower Water only Warm
Author: 120volts (CA)

I've got an American Standard shower with the "hot" only producing warm water. The shower backs up to another shower and the hot is hot there, as is throughout the house.

Is there an adjustment I can make on this or do I need to change the valve? If the latter, what's the model number of the shower or better yet the shower valve?

Turn on the "good" shower to hot and see if you get the hot water in the bad shower. Maybe the cartridge in the good shower is bleeding cold water into the hot water piping?

I got it fixed. There was a temperature dial inside the valve that was set on 7 (lowest temperature). I set it to 2 and it's very hot. Attached is a picture and you can see the numbers if you look closely.

Thanks, all.
