 Shower valve issues
Author: Ramos88 (TX)

Good evening, about a month ago I noticed through our water bill we had a small leak. I set out to fix this issue myself since I thought it was something that I could take care of. I ended up rerouting my entire hot water through the attic straight from the water heater. Nevertheless the leak was fixed but now I am having trouble with my shower valve pressure. I found out that water is only coming out of the left side(hot water)of my rough-in. Both hot water and cold water are coming from that one side. Hot water comes out by default and cold water comes out when i turn off the water heater. How is cold water getting in to the hot water pipes above? The bathroom sink in the same bathroom has both cold and hot water. I’m very confused.
