universal rundle/sears shower stem removal {photo]
Author: darrell39 (TN)

I need help on how to remove a shower stem.Inside a pipeish setup. No way to get a tool in.I tried to twist it out with wrench.Would not budge.Has any one removed a stem like this.It could be soldered in.I think it is an older shower setup.May be universal rundle/sears setup.Stem sits back in pipe and shower handle goes on end of stem. I may be able to post photo if it helps.

You CANNOT remove any valve by just "untwisting it out with a wrench". You ALWAYS have to cut something or disconnect a union to do it.

Post a picture. It sounds like you are talking about a stem (not a valve).
