Question about shutoff valve stems.

In the past if I had a shut off valve that leaked around the bonnet nut.
Very often I could just replace with a brasscraft new stem. Quick and easy.

Ran into one today that have not seen before. If I remove the stem this one had inside pipe threads. Instead of male treads.
My question is do they still make valves like these where I can do the same. Buy the stem or rob one from a new valve.

Will try to post a pic. The top one is what I am looking for.

The bottom one is what I usually find and can get.
Thanks

that doesn't look like brasscraft to me.

Maybe that would explain it. Some other off brand.

I know the handle did say Brass craft. But I remember the handle did look a bit newer than I expected. Compared to the finish on rest of valve. Now I am thinking someone just replaced the handle.
