silver brazed is the ONLY way

nitrogen or argon purge

NO FLUX ALLOWED

oxygen piping is an art form unto itself -- have you seen an oxygen fueled fire? -- pray you never see one

Brass fittings are not combustible what's so bad about using them on a low pressure system like O2 yet copper is ok, just wondering

a compression fitting is a mechanical joint

said joint is weaker than the material(s) being joined

said joint "may" deform and weaken the material(s) being joined without visible indication or ability to test for said deformation

said joint "may" be subject to vibration failure - ANY leakage on oxygen service piping could/would be a catastrophic failure

Albeit oxygen distribution is SUPPOSED and DESIGNED to be low pressure the piping system itself MUST be constructed to allow for 100% leak free if there should be a regulator failure or other mishap.

a silver brazed joint is STRONGER than the base copper
