 Explosion potential from smoke test
Author: ericsarratt (NC)

I was wondering if there was any explosion potential in using a smoke candle.

They are lit. And, the smoke will be put in at a cleanout which is near the septic tank.

There have been instances of septic tanks exploding when a cigarette is near them.

Checking the vent system in a house for leaks. The homeowner keeps saying they smell odors; I smell them a tiny bit.

A vent smoke leak test seems like the next step to take.

The plumbing was completely redone about 5 years ago when the current homeowner bought the house.
