Hello
we used schedule 80 for a riser on a telephone pole, we had to use the conduit for a ground and the cable, for the ground there is a ground rod next to the conduit at the pole, so we drilled a small hole in the schedule 80 pipe a few inches above the base of the riser for the the ground wire to attach to the ground rod, ok here is the question; the inspector is asking for a listing of the schedule 80 to show it is ok for us to do? Im not even sure what that means...

Author: steve (CA) Let's start with the type of sch 80. PVC or steel/aluminum? If PCV, is it gray "conduit" or white "pressure pipe", or ?

Author: hj (AZ) Unfortunately, "gray" sch. 80 pvc water pipe is also "gray, but he wants sch. 80 conduit, which is marked as "u.v. resistant" and designed for electrical usage.
