Lukewarm water in shower

We were one of many victims of the hard freeze and had one pipe burst last month. Plumbers fixed that pipe (outside faucet). But since then, we've noticed the shower nearest that pipe no longer has hot water.

The pressure is completely normal, and all other pipes in the house have normal hot water. I changed the shower mixing valve *cartridge* already as well.

Any other ideas? Thanks in advance!

Author: packy (MA) when you had the cartridge out did you turn the water on briefly to make sure there was no debris in the shower piping?

Author: hj (AZ) "sand like debris"? Was it "golden sand? If so, your softener has broken and losing its resin into the piping. Edited 1 times.
