 Water heater pipes
Author: Auderface (TX)

I had busted pipes due to the cold. I shut off the water at the main, fixed all the pipes and turned the water back on. Everything was working fine before but now there is no hot water coming from any faucet in the house (however the cold flows at full stream). The water heater is not tankless or gas. It is functioning as it should be receiving and heating the water with no leaks or damage. The cold water feeds into it as it should but the pipe that should be hot water coming out feeding into the house attaches no where (there should be 2 pipes correct?) which is why I am puzzled because the hot water worked prior to the repairs with the 1 pipe but now it is not.

So if you are getting no water at all from any hot side of any faucet you have debris clogged on the hot side of the water heater try hooking a washing machine hose to the hot port on the heater and see if there is water coming out if no the hot side nipple has a clog you can usually clear it with a stiff electric wire, if you get pressurized water then the debris is further down the hot line
