 Cat litter in shower
Author: Tbustos2 (NC)

Long story short we had two litter boxes in a spare bathroom. One in the shower and the other by the cabinet. During a change over for litter the one in the shower got dropped and needless to say that was a lot of litter down the drain. Mind blank on the expansion of litter once we got it all cleaned up ( I know I know I’m feeling pretty stupid). So know I have a shower drain of cement. I’ve tried the baking soda and vinegar and it’s a no go. I don’t want to mess up and block the little bit of drainage that it has left. So any ideas before I find a plumber would be great. Thanks for any help In advance.

baking soda and vinegar makes "volcanoes", but does NOTHING to clear a drain.

I think a baking soda salesman thought that one up.

Yes, but it is impressive. Sort of like the witch's cauldron in Macbeth.

Cat litter is clay. Baking soda and vinegar do absolutely nothing to clay. You will have to mechanically remove it with a screwdriver or snake and then flush well with water.
